The Dr Martin Clarke Young Organ Scholars Trust Policy for the Safeguarding of Children

POLICY STATEMENT

The Trustees of the Dr Martin Clarke Young Organ Scholars Trust (YOST) believe that no child, young person, or vulnerable adult should ever experience abuse of any kind.

The Trust recognises that it has a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people and to keep them safe to the best of its ability.

The Trustees recognise that:

  • The welfare of the child/young person is paramount.

  • All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation or identity, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse.

  •  Working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers and, if appropriate, other agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare.

YOST’s Safeguarding Officer is YOST Director, Roxanne Gull.
